Other Name: Areca Palm, Betel Palm
Information

This plant grows wild. Can reach a height of 100 feet. Fruit yellow, orange and red.

Local use

Edible nut with betel leaf. Broth in order to treat diarrhea, abdominal pain, urination and swollen incorrect. The skin on the trunk is used to treat skin wounds. Leaves in order to treat inflammation of the throat and diarrhea.

Potential medical


It shows how such effects of parasympathetic stimulation and kill worms in the intestine. It was also found to affect the treatment of schizophrenia.

Chronic effects:

White spots in mouth (leukoplakia), fibrosis of the membrane lining of the mouth, tumors, saliva, red, dark brown teeth, dental disease, milk-alkali syndrome (hiperkalsimia, 'metabolic alkalosis. Death is usually caused by not breathing
